Blue Red Blue

Blue Red Blue are the Household Division’s Specialist Contemporary Band providing a varied selection of music from rock, pop, jazz, acoustic, funk and more. The band is made up of members from each of the guards bands, representing the Household Division and each musician involved plays a marching band instrument for the massed band occasions. 

Previously the specialist contemporary bands were formed in 2012 hiring professional instrumentalists on guitar, vocals, keys, drums and bass guitar. These bands were initially spread across the country to represent different cap badges, now however, we have the one band, Blue Red Blue, to represent the contemporary music in British Army Music. 

The contemporary bands have performed extensively throughout the world providing entertainment at festivals, dinner parties, diplomatic receptions and for many officers and sergeants mess events.

Blue Red Blue members are also composing and performing original repertoire and soon these will be available to download.
