Direct from duties at Buckingham Palace, The Musicians of The Household Division return to the Fairfield Halls with their spectacular Christmas concert, Scarlet and Gold at Christmas.

Featuring over 100 of the world’s finest military musicians, this glittering winter concert evokes the ceremonial splendour and sparkle of the Guards’ scarlet uniforms and finely polished instruments.

Hosted by iconic Scottish legend James Cosmo, who has starred in over 130 Hollywood movies as well as global classic TV productions such as Game of Thrones and with a very special appearance by International award-winning singer-songwriter Matt Goss. James Cosmo and Matt Goss will add a world-renowned sparkle to the start of the Christmas season.

Born in Dumbarton, James Cosmo has been acting since 1965 and has appeared in such classic films as Highlander, Trainspotting, Braveheart and Ben Hur with Game of Thrones, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and Soldier Soldier amongst his Television credits.

Born in South London, Matt is Coming Home for Christmas, as he returns to The Fairfield Halls, one of his most favourite London venues. He is the youngest artist to sell out Wembley Stadium and still holds the record for the longest Las Vegas residency by a UK artist. Having sold over 17 million records worldwide he will lead the Christmas celebrations with the military musicians in a rousing Big Band set to kick off the festive period. Both James and Matt have dedicated all their expenses to the charity to ensure the success of Scarlet and Gold @ Christmas 2025.

Performing alongside this Hollywood Royalty will be internationally acclaimed trumpeter, bandleader, and educator Louis Dowdeswell. In a career that spans recording studios, concert halls, television, and some of the world’s most iconic stages Louis is known for his powerful lead trumpet playing, versatility across genres, and innovative approach to music education and has become one of the defining voices of the trumpet in his generation.

This concert is set to break all box office records - from the starting grid at the F1 Grand Prix in Silverstone to Hyde Park performances with Robbie Williams, the musicians celebrate Christmas at this dazzling concert for all the family with some of the greatest names of our generation.
