Overview
Since 1988 the Guards Museum has given access to a wealth of information and artefacts from the long history of the five regiments of the Foot Guards. The collection ranges from uniforms and weapons to many interesting items of memorabilia, illustrating their lives both at peace and war. There are also displays and dioramas depicting the battles which the Guards have been involved in, from the English Civil War to present day. The museum is located on Birdcage Walk and adjacent to The Guards Chapel at the heart of Wellington Barracks, the headquarters of the five Foot Guards Regiments. This is a mere 500 metres from Buckingham Palace.
