International Engagement
The Bands of the Household Division
Â
The British Armed Forces are regarded as one of the most professional and effective Armed Forces across the world. The Bands of the Household Division aspire to uphold that reputation. Through the universal language of music, they seek to influence all international audiences with the very finest, most stirring and moving performances of music, to establish and sustain relationships, cultivate mutual understanding and explore the opportunities for closer engagement.
During 2021, The Bands of the Household Division, through its performances of music, will focus on the narrative of Global Britain and seek to convey the unique opportunities for closer understanding and engagement throughout The Commonwealth. Performances of music will also convey the significance of the work of Her Majesty The Queen throughout The Commonwealth over Her Majesty’s 70-year reign. The UK’s leading role in conservation and our ambition for a  greener more sustainable future will be a key focus through music. Finally, performances of music will support the narrative of the UK as a leading Defence partner in organisations such as NATO and other wider coalitions.
